Trump’s budget request could be a ‘game changer’ for soccer field games
By DAVID PFEIFFERThe White House budget proposal could create a game-changing tax incentive for the U.S. Soccer Federation to play soccer in the United States and around the world, as it seeks to expand its business into the sports arena, an official said Tuesday.
The White Street Journal first reported the proposal.
It would help the sport by increasing U.K.-based United Soccer League soccer leagues’ revenue to $1.5 billion by 2022, and would make soccer more attractive to U.C.-Berkeley students, according to the report.
