Lacrosse game fields cleared for use
D.C. officials say field operations were cleared Wednesday for use in the new lacrosse game being played in the nation’s capital, and officials expect it to begin this weekend.
The game, set for Saturday night, will take place on a temporary field at the National Capital Metro Library, according to a notice posted on the library’s website.
The notice says the field will be open to the public.
The library also posted a statement on the park website saying it would be open throughout the evening for fans to use.
The park website says fans are encouraged to bring in any items they may need for the game.
The park website did not provide any details on how long the field would be used.
