Football legend Johnny Cash wins award at Cornhole Festival

Johnny Cash, the man who played on the famed Cornhole tournament, won a Cornhole Tournament Award at the annual Cornhole Festivals in Derry, Northern Ireland.

The Cornhole team of the late Johnny Cash and his wife, Betty, were featured in the festival’s ‘Man of the Year’ category, which featured five Cornhole players.

Cash, who died in 1997, is remembered for his role in the Cornhole sport and the way he played the game in a way that inspired generations of youngsters.

The late singer was inducted into the Irish Football Hall of Fame in 2009 and in 2018 he was inductated into the Sports Hall of Famer Hall of Famers.
