Game Playing Field: Big Ten games starting Thursday, Jan. 4

Big Ten game playing fields will begin to open Thursday in the Big Ten and the SEC.

The Big Ten has two of the six stadiums scheduled to open at kickoff.

The first game will be the opener for the SEC, which is hosting an SEC championship game in Atlanta.

The SEC game will kick off at 7 p.m.

ET at Texas Stadium, home of the Longhorns.

The opener for Big 12 games will be at 7:30 p..m., at Texas Memorial Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Big Ten schools will open their conference schedules Thursday with their opener against a conference opponent.

The league has already announced the schedule of schools scheduled to play in the 2017-18 season.

Big 12 teams will begin conference play Thursday with two games against Big Ten teams.

SEC teams will play one game against a Big Ten team.

The top two seeds in the conference will play a conference championship game.

SEC schools will face a conference champion in their opening game, while Big Ten/SEC teams will face conference champions in their second game.

The Big Ten will open the season Saturday with a game against the conference champion Ohio State, which will take on the defending national champion Purdue.

The Buckeyes will play the first of two conference games against a Pac-12 team in Chicago.

The game will begin at 7 a.m.(noon) ET.

Big 10 teams will open up conference play Sunday with a home game against Nebraska.

The Huskers will host Northwestern on the road in Lincoln, Neb., before the game is played in Chicago on Nov. 16.

The opening game of the Big 12/SEC season will be a matchup between Oklahoma and Baylor, which takes on the No. 6-ranked Sooners on the campus of Kansas State.

The SEC has its first four games on Saturday, Dec. 5, with the first game being a home opener for Alabama against Texas.

The next three games are on the schedule in Texas, Georgia and Alabama.

SEC games on Dec. 9 will take place in Atlanta and Washington, D.C., before their home opener against Tennessee.

SEC coaches will have a first look at the opening game against Alabama on Dec, 10, and the first SEC game against Georgia on Dec., 15.

The Pac-10 is expected to open its schedule on Dec 10, when it will face No. 1 Oregon on the Oregon campus.

The Pac-8 will open its season on Dec 16, when the conference begins play against Arizona State.

The second game will take the place of the Pac-6 opener.

The first Big 12 game will not take place on Dec 15, but the Pac 12 and SEC are expected to play a two-game series in Phoenix on Dec 24.

The other Big 12 and the Pac 10 games are expected in Austin, Texas on Dec 30.

The conference season will end with the Pac 15 championship on Jan. 5.

The conference is expected take a trip to Chicago for its first-ever meeting with the SEC on Jan 6, the first meeting between the two leagues.
